Jobs on the Net: The JobBlog

Changes Afoot!!
Hello all .Bit of housekeeping, our site will be undergoing a bit of cosmetic and integral changes in the coming months as we continue to embrace the success of the site.We decided to launch way back last year as an alternative independent run site and our decision to launch has been vindicated.
Our major aim is to retain the sites simplistic no nonsense approach-where job seeking is pivotal, the job numbers in turn will increase signficantly as our client base grows month on month.
Traffic figures also should grow quite distinctly as a result of increased jobs creating a happy manageable equilibrium for all parties.
So thanks for reading and if you would tell your friends about us .

Out and About
Hello all.Firstly in our job blog we will like to announce that we have reached our first full year as a Scottish jobs board. So with that annnouncment out of the way ,we are glad you have taken the time to visit the blog and get a heads up on what's been happening since our last post.
Well we continue to attract good quality traffic,we are continuing to promote the site to all the acive job seekers out there and we are also working on a new set of targets for the site .
Our presence is becoming tangible also.I was at the Recruitment Awards last week at the Hilton in Glasgow and it was nice to rub shoulders with the hoi polloi of the Scottish Recruitment market.I was a guest of the Lovely Louise Wightman of Consultancy Personnel and again thanks Louise for the invite.Great nosh but even better company.
On the night it was a showcase and recognition of the best of the best in recruitment world and as I sat there sipping my wine watching companies being honoured a thought entered my head ..." and the winner is Scottish Jobs On The Net Scotlands number one Job board in the year 2010 ... applause !!!"
Till next time best wishes.x

Seasons Greetings Job Hunters!!
It really can't be can it ..yes it is ..it's time for that Annual office party. And as it's our first Xmas as Scottish Jobs On The Net..our plans here in the coming weeks is to have a right royal knees up.
On reflection on our first year from launch ,development of the site ,growth in traffic, the marketing campaigns etc etc, it has been a year of spade work and alot of hard work..In what is a strongly contested online marketplace, this years effort has begun to pay considerable dividends ,and we are now getting increased presence on the net and in turn our traffic is growing significantly.Magic!!
So December we are in ,an exciting month and although it may not be an ultra hotbed of activity in terms of job seeking..worry not..because in between 'sausage rolls ' and 'big grins' we shall continue the hard work to make our site a reliable, trusted and straightforward site in the Scottish Online Job market...Have a goodun and bottoms up.

The Italian Job
It may have been years since I went to Hampden to watch our National side but on Saturday like everyone else I will be doing my bit, pint of Tennents in one hand and roaring the National side onto Victory!!! I Will also be donning my Alex Mcleish wig. As modelled by the man below (Thanks Russ)..

So this Saturday get behind big Alex and the Boys in Blue (not the azzuro) and get on your 'Ginger Syrup' or your Jimmy Hat and do the ultimate Italian Job!!.
Getting back briefly to our job in hand, Scottish Jobs on The Net is developing nicely (we are now into our 8th Month)and we are attracting good solid traffic. So much so, Google et al are starting to like us a lot. And our aim is firmly to be one of the top 5 Scottish Jobs Board by 2008/2009.
